buddi Launches on Roku, Fire TV and Android TV
Streaming platform fills market need as 48% of U.S. pet owners would consider pet-friendly content subscriptions
FORT WORTH, Texas, July 24, 2024 – buddi, a pet focused, family-friendly streaming platform, announced today it is now available on Roku, Fire TV and Android TV. The streamer, created by pet lovers for pet lovers, launched earlier this year and is available via monthly and annual subscriptions.
Today’s announcement marks a unique opportunity for buddi to reach even more pet lovers who have expressed a desire to watch their furry friends on the big screen. In a 2023 study conducted by YouGov, 65% of U.S. adults owned pets. As pet lovers searched for content, 38% of those open to subscribing to a pet and pet-owner focused streaming service were interested in pet training videos, 42% in pet health videos and 32% in pet content specific to food for pets. buddi offers all of that family-friendly content in one place, commercial free.
“We created buddi to fill a market need, and as we grow the platform, and devices it is available on, we are excited to see our vision come to life,” says buddi Co-founder Layla Kasha. “With all the noise in the world of streaming, it’s nice to have a one-stop-shop for our fellow feline and canine fanatics for all things animals.”
Through the expanded distribution platforms, buddi is now available for approximately 92 million adults, 65% of the Connected TV (CTV) market, according to Nielsen data. With the expansion, buddi also adds new offerings including a community board, which allows users to post pictures and videos of their own pets and interact with other subscribers. Content is now also available for pre-download, enabling users to enjoy buddi’s unique content on the go without a Wi-Fi connection.
Headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, the most-pet-obsessed city according to Zillow, buddi prides itself in super serving consumers with newsworthy, entertaining and family-friendly pet focused content all in one place. As more Americans factor their pets into their renting, home buying and even vacation plans, buddi is streamlining where to find pet-centric movies, documentaries, televisions shows, podcasts and original programming. As buddi continues to expand and grow its original programming, users can track when new episodes will be released using the buddi mobile app.
